Amber Alert discontinued for toddler missing from South Texas

The Amber Alert that was issued for a 3-year-old boy from South Texas on Wednesday morning has now been discontinued.

The family of the child told KTRK he was found safe in Galveston.

Early Wednesday morning, Texas City police said the toddler, Alexzander Clayton Russel, is a white male with blonde hair, blue eyes and a birthmark on his stomach. Authorities had been searching for Russel since he was last seen around 9 p.m. on May 4 in League City, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Police were also searching for suspect Beverly Mickens, 39, who is believed to be driving a tan mid-2000s Chevrolet Suburban with a Texas license plate.

Mickens is described as 5'5" tall with brown hair, brown eyes and "little don" tattooed on her left arm. DPS said Mickens was last heard from in League City.

Law enforcement believes the child may be in grave or immediate danger. If you have any information on this abduction, all the Texas City Police Department at 409-943-5720.
