Five bikers indicted in the 2015 Twin Peaks shooting had a status hearing before 54th District Court Judge Matt Johnson on Friday.

Initially, 23 defendants had been summoned but on Thursday afternoon the McLennan County District Attorney’s Office dismissed 15 cases.

Mitchell Bradford, Kyle Smith and Jarrod Lehman were not at the courthouse because the cases were reset.

During the hearing, Wesley MacAlister’s trial was set for September 10, as a backup to the retrial of Christopher Jacob Carrizal.

Richard Luther’s trial date was set for January after his attorney Clint Broden said he would request the recusal of DA Abel Reyna.

Prosecutors present suggested to set a date next year because the current DA will not be in office then.

Gage Yarborough’s attorney Richard Ferguson withdrew from his case after he said he was shutting down his law practice.
