Three teens hurt after intoxicated driver causes accident

Bryan police say they arrested a man after he caused an accident that sent three teenagers to the hospital.

Shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 4100 block of E. State Hwy 21.

Police say a white Chevy pickup was broken down in the outside lane.  An 18-year-old male steered, while a 19-year-old male and a 15-year-old male pushed the truck down the roadway.

Police say that's when a Dodge pickup truck hit the Chevy and the two teens pushing it.

Officials say all three teens were taken to CHI St. Joseph Hospital.  The 18 and 19-year-old's had non-life threatening injuries.

They say the 15-year-old has life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition.

The driver of the Dodge truck was identified as 26-year-old Lorenzo Arellano of Bryan.  He was arrested for two counts of intoxication assault.
