Texas A&M women’s golf team had two players shoot even par to highlight the third and final round of stroke play at the 2018 SEC Women’s Golf Championship. Senior Maddie Szeryk, playing in her final career round at the SEC Championship, and sophomore Courtney Dow each shot even par 72 at the Greystone Golf and Country Club.

Szeryk finished tied for 19th, finishing the tournament with a 7-over 223 over 54 holes on the par 72 / 6,523-yard Legacy Course. Szeryk finishes her career at the SEC Championship with four Top 20 finishes.

Freshman Amber Park tied for 31st with a 13-over 229, finishing the tournament with a 7-over 79. Dow finished the tournament tied for 59th, with a 21-over 237 after shooting her 10th par-or-better round of the season Friday.

Freshman Ariana Saenz had her best round of the tournament, shooting a 5-over 77 to tie for 61st with a 22-over 238. Chloe Velasco, who started her day with two straight birdies, also had her best round of the tournament, with a 3-over 75, rounding out the Aggie lineup with a 28-over 244 to finish 68th.

The Aggies shot an 8-over 296 as a team, their best round of the tournament. Texas A&M finished 13th with a 59-over 923 over the three days of stroke play, and did not make the cut for match play.

The Aggies now await their 2018 postseason fate, expecting their 18th consecutive NCAA Regional bid.
