The McLennan Highlanders golf team comes in at No. 6 with 20 points in the latest Bushnell Golfweek NJCAA Division I Coaches Poll.
Indian Hills (Iowa) remains in the top spot with 50 points, followed by Eastern Florida State in second with 42 and Midland (Texas) in third with 40 points. Iowa Western and Dodge City (Kansas) round out the top five with 40 and 30 points, respectively.
NJCAA Region V opponents for Midland and McLennan also in the poll are: Odessa, seventh, 16 points, and New Mexico, tied for eighth, 13 points.
The Highlanders will compete in the NJCAA Southwest Championship April 23-24 at Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro, Texas, to determine the qualifying teams for the NJCAA National Championship.
