Police arrest suspect who robbed credit union in March

Police have arrested the suspect in a credit union robbery that happened on March 16.

On Wednesday night, detectives arrested 30-year-old Villobaldo Cienf Solorzano Jr. in connection to the robbery in March at 2400 West Lakeshore Drive at 5:35 p.m. 

Police said the suspect entered Educators Credit Union and presented a note to the teller saying he had a gun and demanded money. The suspect was dressed in all black clothing, grey/orange cap, dark glasses and a beard. He also had a shirt that said: "Union Proud American Made Local 72 Electricians." 

Police said Solorzano has no affiliation with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 72.

He fled on foot towards N. 19th Street.

The robbery was investigated by the Waco Police Department and the FBI.

Solorzano is currently in federal custody.
