The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor athletic department ranks 22nd in the country in the 2017-18 Division III Learfield Director’s Cup standings following the fall semester. UMHB is the highest ranked American Southwest Conference program in the standings and this is the highest fall ranking in UMHB Athletics history.

The Cru totaled 179.00 points in the fall by collecting points from three different programs. Football’s run to a National Runner-Up finish earned UMHB 90 points. Cru men’s soccer claimed 64 points by advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time in program history. Cru women’s soccer also advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time to earn 25 points. The 179 total points represent a new high-water mark through the fall for UMHB Athletics. The highest full year point total for the Cru is 273.00 points back in 2012-13.

The Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 18 sports -- nine women’s and nine men’s. Complete standings and the scoring structure can be found on NACDA’s website at www.directorscup.org.
