The Temple Police Department said they are investigating a multi-vehicle accident in which one woman was transported to the hospital, Sunday afternoon.
Police were called out to Highway 317 and Highway 36 around 3:15 p.m. where a silver Kia SUV and an 18-wheeler crashed.
Temple Fire and Rescue posted on their facebook page that the tanker exiting the off-ramp turned onto its side.
The tanker's contents were not spilled following the crash.
The woman driving the Kia was ejected from the vehicle and transported to the hospital and has non-life threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating the crash.
Highway 317 and 36 remain open. The exit from North 317 onto East 36 is closed.
Traffic exiting from East 36 are being rerouted. The road is anticipated to remain closed until approximately 8:00 p.m.
