Man intentionally runs into ambulance, taken into custody after pursuit

KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) -

A man is in custody after intentionally running into an ambulance. 

Killeen police said the incident happened Wednesday afternoon in the 700 block of Twin Creek area. 

Killeen Fire Department responded to a call of a person inhaling an unknown substance. When first responders attempted to make contact with the subject, he fled. The man intentionally ran into the ambulance. Afterward, police began chasing the suspect, who eventually crashed his car. After a short foot pursuit, the man was taken into custody. 

No other details were released.
