Police searching for two wanted men who fled traffic stop on foot

Groesbeck police are searching for two men with active warrants who fled a traffic stop on foot early Tuesday morning. 

Two of the four people fled on foot when the officer pulled the vehicle over. The remaining two people, Billy Burns and Jessica Arrendondo-Cepeda, were arrested. Billy Burns was wanted for burglary of a building and Arrendondo-Cepeda found with 1.2 grams of methamphetamine and arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Officers began searching for 54-year-old Bobby Eugene Wood and 41-year-old Clifton Wiley Burns, but could not locate them. Both men have outstanding arrests. Clifton Burns is wanted in Colorado County for sexual assault. Wood is wanted in Leon County for burglary of a building, in Houston County for burglary of a building and has an active parole violation warrant for burglary of a building. 

The men were last seen running East from the 300 block of S. Dr. J. B. Riggs Drive around 12:40 a.m.
