The Brazos County Sheriff's Office said one person died after a house caught fire.

On Nov. 9 around 5 p.m. a house fire was reported to dispatchers at Rolling Ridge Mobile Home Park.

Neighbors told authorities that a resident of the home was likely in the house.

Firefighters discovered the remains of a person inside the burnt home.

Responding firefighters with South Brazos County Volunteer Fire Department and the College Station Fire Department were able to suppress the fire that had totally engulfed the home.

Initial results of the investigation did not show that the fire was set using an accelerant and was likely not arson.

Also, the preliminary findings from the autopsy conducted by the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office indicated no signs of foul play.

Due to the significant burns, the identification of the deceased person will rely on the expert forensic comparison of dental records.

The investigation is ongoing.
