Temple Parks and Recreation are gearing up for annual Holiday Races.

There will be two big races that citizens can participate in.

On Nov. 23 the 7th Annual Carlson Law Firms Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5 K kicks off at 8 a.m.

It will be held at McLane Company located at 4747 McLane Pkwy.

On Dec. 9 the 13th Annual Schlotzsky’s Jingle Bun Run will begin its 5K at 9 a.m. and the 1K race with Santa will start at 10:30 a.m.

The overall male and female finishers will be given awards as well as the top 3 finishers per age group in each of the 5 K’s.

These events will be a great way to get everyone in the healthy holiday spirit.

“We are proud to present these annual racing events,” said Tracy Klusacek, Athletic Coordinator for Temple Parks and Recreation.  “These races are great for runners of all skill levels and these events provide an opportunity to spend time with family and friends while staying active during the holiday season.”
