A family safely escaped a small house fire in their home Tuesday morning, Waco Fire Department said.
The fire happened in the 1500 block of Barnard Street around 2:50 a.m.
The fire department said the fire damaged the exterior wall and extended to the second floor of the home.
It is not known if the fire has displaced the residents, but they did choose to stay with family after the fire.
No other details were released.
