Police have arrested a 29-year-old man for indecency with a child after he inappropriately touched a 12-year-old girl.
Bell County Deputies said Oren Jasper Major was camping in a tent near a lake with the victim and her two younger siblings when the incident happened in June.
The victim stated Major touched her privates over her bathing suit. She said she sat up and he tried to lay her back down. The victim then slapped him and ran out of the tent.
The victim texted her mother describing the event as she fled.
On Oct. 25, Major was arrested and charged with indecency with a child, sexual contact.
