An 18-wheeler fire has shut down multiple lanes of I-35 in Bellmead.
The far right two lanes of the interstate are closed from exit 338A to 338B.
The Bellmead Fire Department says they got the call around 10:30 p.m.
The driver told them he hit something on the interstate and when he pulled over, he saw his whole trailer on fire. He told them that he thinks whatever he hit ruptured a diesel tank.
Because of that, fuel spilled onto the interstate, and hazmat crews cleaned up the spill.
The truck was carrying over two tons of frozen vegetables.
Both the Waco and Lacy Lakeview Fire Departments sent additional trucks to help.
