The Texas Department of Public Safety said a Killeen man has been arrested after leading authorities in a high-speed chase while on his way to work.

28-year-old Daine Anthony Watson was pulled over by DPS at around 2:09 p.m. for a speeding violation.

Watson was driving a 2004 BMW and was traveling eastbound on Hwy 7 towards Marlin. Watson did not stop and sped off. He was going up to 130 mph.

Watson attempted to cut through a parking lot of a CEFCO on Hwy 7 and Hwy 320 heading towards Chilton when Watson hit a curb and got a flat tire.

Watson is a prison guard at the Ferguson Unit and was on his way to work.

DPS initiated the traffic stop and Lott police and Falls County Sheriff's Office later joined in.

Watson was arrested and taken to the Falls County Jail and is being charged with a suspended driver license, reckless driving and a felony for evading arrest.
