This Halloween, plan to be spooked by another spooktacular haunted hayride.  The event will take place on Oct 28 on the grounds of Bend of the River.  It’s located at 7915 S. General Bruce Drive and will be hosted by the Temple Parks & Recreation.

The family-friendly hayrides will take place from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.  Need an extra scare?  The extremely haunted hayrides will take place from 6 pm until 10 pm.  Food vendors will also be there selling treats.

“Due to the popularity of the hayride in years past, we are now able to add the early afternoon rides in hopes of allowing families the chance to enjoy a Halloween Hayride without it being too scary,” Belinda Garcia, Program Coordinator for Temple Parks & Recreation said.

“This is a great family event and we invite ghosts and goblins of all ages to come out for some Halloween fun!” she added.

This won’t be your ordinary hayride, it will be a narrated tour throughout a park with creepy characters and spooky scenes.

You can buy tickets in advance for $5 for the early haunted hayrides and $6 for the later, spookier ones.  In addition, you can purchase them online at TempleParks.com.  At the gate, tickets will be $8 per person.  Children under two are free.

If you are a family, company, organization, or volunteer that would like to create a Halloween scene along the hayride route, please contact Belinda Garcia at (254) 298-5733.
