The Waco Convention and Visitors Bureau said a major film production will be shooting scenes around Waco on Oct. 21.

The production company is looking for cars from the 70s and 80s to line the streets and one getaway car that will be driven by a big name movie star.

Carla Pendergraft, director of marketing with the Waco Convention and Visitors Bureau, said they received an overwhelming response from classic car enthusiasts after putting out the message on social media.

"We reached out on Facebook and we've gotten such a great response from Wacoans and people in the area," said Pendergraft. "They've shared the post and I bet there are 70 or 80 cars on that thread. We're just so excited and the production company is looking at them now."

Pendergraft said there are still accepting submissions. Those chosen will be compensated for their time.
