A man is facing additional charges after punching a correctional officer in the chest.
An arrest affidavit released Monday stated that Vincent Edward Gonzales assaulted an officer while being booked into the McLennan County Jail for criminal trespass charges on Oct. 14.
Officer Morales was trying to fingerprint Gonzales when Gonzales became angry and hit Morales in the chest. Gonzales was charged with assault of a public servant.
