KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) -

It’s a unique event meant to help our local veterans decompress from the stresses associated with military life.

The Fort Hood Chapter of Heroes, also known as HOW, will hold a kayak fishing event.

It will take place Saturday, October 21st at Yowell Ranch in Killeen.  All of the equipment, from kayaks to safety equipment, will be provided to the vets by HOW.  In addition, Yowell Ranch is a prime spot for the event since it’s a private lake.

Want to say thank you to our veterans?  You can do your part to help as well.  Those wishing to volunteer or donate to the Fort Hood chapter can contact Frank Aguilar at 254-630-6440 or Bert Rodriguez at 817-996-1041.
