A group from North Texas is riding horses down Interstate 35 all the way to Austin in hopes of bringing awareness to cold cases and corruption.

Riding4Justice hit the road this week for the third year in a row.

They're riding to Austin from Fannin County, about 80 miles northeast of Dallas.

The group says there are too many unsolved murders and issues with spending in their county and others across Texas and something needs to be done.

"Just corruption on various levels that we've not been able to fix in our own area, so you go the chain of command. Who's up next? You go to the capitol," Melanie Mincey, a participant in the ride, said.

The group plans to make it to Salado on Friday and they plan to get to Austin on Monday.
