Woman in stable condition after accident in Bryan

The Bryan Police Department said a woman was injured after a major accident in Bryan on Thursday. 

The accident happened at around 9 a .m. at the 2800 block of East State Hwy 21.

The driver of a 2001 Mercedes-Benz was traveling East in the 2800 block of East State Highway 21 when it rear-ended a horse trailer pulled by 2001 Dodge 3500 truck.

The driver of the truck was not injured and there were no animals in the trailer.

Both the driver and passenger in the Mercedes were transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital.

The driver was treated and released from the hospital and received a citation for failing to control speed.

The passenger, a 34-year-old woman is currently in stable condition.
