Armed man riding stolen motorcycle taken into custody

KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) -

A man has been taken into custody after leading police on a pursuit Wednesday morning.

At 9:56 a.m. Killeen Police officers saw a man on a motorcycle speeding and attempted a traffic stop at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Boulevard. and W.S. Young Drive. 

The man refused to stop and led officers to North Killeen. 

The motorist came to a stop on the 2900 block of Boyd Avenue and went into a residence. 

Killeen Police officers gave the suspect commands to come out, and the suspect refused. 

After about five minutes, the suspect came out of the residence and was taken into custody without incident.

The motorcycle the suspect was riding was reported stolen with the Killeen Police Department.

Police also found a gun on the suspect.
