A network of musicians are banding together for a special one-day event to raise money for Hurricane Harvey victims.

Music lovers flocked to The Backyard Bar in Waco to give back to those in need. From 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., they traded donations for live entertainment from local artists.

Brad Beheler helped organize the relief effort. He said around 40 different venues across Texas and four other states participated in the event.

"When the hurricanes happened down south, a bunch of my music friends and I got together and we thought 'What could we do to make a difference? We don't have a boat, we can't go down there and pull people out of their houses, but we can put a concert on to raise money,'" said Beheler.

Beheler said they have yet to count the money raised, but he expects they brought in more than $10,000.

He said all proceeds will go toward the Rebuild Texas Fund, which supports long-term recovery for flood victims.
