Baylor Equestrian Treks to Stillwater to Open Big 12 Play

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

No. 5 Baylor equestrian (1-0) will face No. 4 Oklahoma State on Saturday at Totusek Arena in Stillwater, Okla., in its first conference event of the 2017-18 season.

The Bears are coming off a season-opening win versus West Texas A&M, with BU setting a program single-meet point record with an 18-2 win.

The Cowgirls open its 2017-18 season against the Bears—the first time the two programs will have met since the Cowgirls’ 11-7 loss to Baylor in 2017 Big 12 Championships finals. OSU ended its 2016-17 season in a 14-1 loss to Texas A&M in the 2017 NCEA Championship quarterfinals, finishing with an 8-2 regular season record.

Following Saturday's competition, the Bears will travel to Dallas, Texas on October 14th to face SMU, the second time the Bears have made the trip this season, including a preseason exhibition.
