Two Gatesville residents were arrested last month in connection to a string of burglaries and thefts spanning Bell, Bosque and Coryell counties.

The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association said that Billy Shoaf, 35, and Ashely Mitchell, 24 were booked into the Coryell County Jail after several cattle raisers were victims of thefts and burglaries.

Shoaf was arrested on Sept. 11 at his residence in Gatesville without incident. His girlfriend, Mitchell, was also arrested at that time.

Authorities found stolen items at Shoaf's residence and storage unit.

Mitchell bonded out of Coryell County Jail. Shoaf remains in custody with a $130,000 bond. Shoaf faces nine counts of burglary and theft with additional charges expected.
