A new judge has been assigned to Twin Peaks biker Matthew Clendennen’s trial, according to court documents.

The Third Administrative Judicial Region Presiding Judge Billy Ray Stubblefield assigned Senior Judge Doug Shaver from the 262nd Judicial District Court to that case.

This after McLennan County District Court Judge Matt Johnson recused himself from the trial on Monday after Clendennen's attorney, Clint Broden, filed to recuse Johnson from being involved with any additional proceedings in the case that same day.

Clendennen is expected to be the second biker on trial after being indicted on engaging in organized criminal activity charges.
