Moody police officers killed two dogs after the dogs mauled and killed a cat.
Police said the incident happened on 6th Street.
"We have to protect the citizens of the city," said the department on Facebook. "A small child could have seen his or her cat getting attacked and gotten attacked as well, trying to save the cat."
Police said that residents should keep their dogs in a fenced yard.
