Killeen police have identified the man found dead in the road on Thursday.
Around 12 p.m., the mail carrier was doing his normal rounds on the 700 block of Reese Creek Road when he came across the body that had a gunshot wound, police said.
The man was identified as 39-year-old Stephen M. Rowe of California.
No arrests have been made.
