(RNN) - A new Star Wars Battlefront 2 trailer narrated by John Boyega (Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens) reveals a treasure trove of content new to the video game series.

The new Battlefront title expands upon the first by adding nearly triple the number of locations, heroes and vehicles for players to use in combat.

Some of the new locations players will be able to experience include: Kamino, Yavin 4, Fondor, Starkiller Base and Ryloth.

While players have taken the role of characters like smuggler Han Solo and bounty hunter Boba Fett through previous entries in the Battlefront franchise, they'll soon be able to use the likes of Jedi-in-training Rey, Sith apprentice Darth Maul, and Episode VII's Kylo Ren.

Past the typical array of Heroes, players will be able to call for support from "Hero Starfighters," which are vehicles such as Han Solo's Millennium Falcon and Jango Fett's Slave I.

Gamers will choose between the Assault, Heavy, Specialist and Officer classes. Each come equipped with unique abilities and weaponry to use in battle.

The game contains five different multiplayer modes, each working differently to provide players a unique experience:

  • Blast - "Fast-paced, close-quarters combat."
  • Strike - "Strategic, objective-based combat."
  • Heroes vs Villains - "Where iconic Star Wars characters go head-to-head."
  • Starfighter Assault - "Intense dogfights across high atmosphere and space."
  • Galactic Assault - "Epic 20 vs 20 all-out warfare."

But what may interest players most is the inclusion of a single-player campaign - something the series had been missing until this point; all the other games have been multiplayer-only. The single-player campaign bridges the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Players assume the identity of special forces commander Iden Versio, fighting for the future of the Empire.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 hits store shelves on Nov. 17, 2017.
