The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said they have arrested a teacher and coach for soliciting sexual images from a 15-year-old through a dating site.

45-year-old David Balsinger was arrested at the school he taught at Union Grove Middle School in Harker Heights.

Balsinger used a social media app to solicit the images from the 15-year-old in early September.

Balsinger used the KIK messaging app to engage in conversation via text with the girl. Balsinger sent photos of himself to her.

Balsinger asked the teen through text if she was seeing any other boys, and asked questions about her parents.

Balsinger then asked the teen to send him pictures of her private parts to him.

On Thursday, September 21, The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Investigators established probable cause for a felony arrest warrant relating to acts committed by Balsinger. Balsinger was subsequently arrested by Harker Heights Police Department at Union Grove Middle School.

Balsinger admitted to authorities that he was in contact with the 15-year-old.

Balsinger is married and has two children ages 19 and 17. He is also a soccer coach at the school.

Balsinger is being charged with online solicitation of a minor charge, a 3rd-degree felony.

The Killeen Independent School District said they placed Balsinger on administrative leave and barred him from access to KISD schools. The school district said the case does not involve a Killeen ISD student. The Killeen ISD Superintendent John Craft issued the following statement:

"The Killeen Independent School District requires teachers and all employees to maintain the highest standards of conduct and will never tolerate illegal or innapropiate behavior by an employee toward any child. We are saddened and outraged by this alleged conduct by one our teachers. We will work closely with law enforcement officials in this matter, and if the allegations prove true, we will support the strongest possible legal action agaisnt this teacher."

Balsinger has taught and coached at Union Grove since 2007.
