Oncor is announcing a new system that will alert you if the power goes out in your area.
My Oncor Alerts service allows customers to receive free notifications by text, email or phone call if the power has gone out, as well as an estimate of when it will be restored and updates for service requests.
Notifications can be set to English or Spanish.
To enroll, complete four steps through the My Oncor Alerts website. Sign up, confirm your location, choose notification preferences and confirm registration.
