Fire Marshal Kevin Vranich said one injury resulted from a house fire in Waco.

Waco firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire in Waco on Aug.9 at around 6:30 p.m.

Some Waco fire crews were riding around town and noticed the smoke. They drove around and found the fire.

The fire took place in the 400 block of Mount Lookout Drive.

Vranich said it was an unintentional fire. The victim suffered minor injuries.

Around 9 p.m., the fire was under control and firefighters were putting out hot spots.

Part of Sturgis Road was closed as firefighters worked to put out the fire.
