Gatesville man found guilty after putting child in dog kennel

CORYELL COUNTY, TX (KXXV) -

A man from Gatesville was found guilty of an injury to a child, for placing a child on a dog kennel and tipping and rolling the kennel, causing injuries to the child's face. 

On Aug. 9, a Coryell County jury found 34-year-old Cory Don Crosby guilty of injury to a child, a third-degree felony, which was enhanced to a second-degree felony due to a previous conviction in 2003 for injury to a child. 

The jury sentenced Crosby to the maximum of 20 years with a fine of $5,000.

Crosby was charged in May 2016. 

Crosby was previously convicted of Injury to a Child in 2003 and was sentenced to 7 years.
