Police investigate attempted murder after man was shot at several times

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

Waco police are investigating an attempted murder after a man in his car was shot at several times Saturday night.

At 6:15 p.m., officers were called to 100 block of Industrial Drive near the GYM X of a report of a disturbance with a gun.

The caller said a suspect was following and shooting at him.

The investigation revealed the victim was driving near Industrial Drive and Waco Drive when the incident occurred.

The victim told officers after he was shot at and fled in his car. He then stopped near Valley Mills Drive and Sanger Avenue to wait for police.

The victim also said the suspect, who is known to him, was driving a passenger vehicle. He was shot at multiple times and about 5 bullet holes were found on his vehicle. Approximately nine shell casings were found in the roadway at the location the victim was shot at.

No one was injured and there have been no arrests at this time.
