The Bell County Game Wardens said they recovered the body of 33-year-old Travis Robinson from Stillhouse Hollow Lake at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The body was found 139 feet from shore in about 3 1/2 feet of water according to the Bell County Sheriff's Office.

Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced Robinson dead just after 9:30 a.m.

A spokesperson with Killeen ISD said that Robinson was an employee with the district. The statement from the district did not say what Robinson did for the district.

The lake was closed to the public until the recovery process is finished.

Major T.J. Cruz said they were called to the lake around 8 p.m. Sunday.

Cruz said Robinson was trying to swim to an island.  He got halfway there and decided he couldn't make it. He turned around and disappeared.

The Texas Game Wardens are leading the investigation.
