One person is dead and six more are trapped in a major accident on Interstate 45 in Navarro County.
The accident happened at exit 234, just north of Corsicana in the northbound lanes of I-45.
The Navarro County Office of Emergency Management said the accident had one confirmed fatality and six people trapped in their vehicles.
The Navarro OEM said that there are several vehicles involved and several air ambulances en route to the scene.
Officials say those traveling through Navarro County on I-45 should take business exit 45 through Corsicana to avoid the scene.
All northbound lanes are closed.
