Police identify suspect in Monday's shooting, considered armed and dangerous

Bryan police are investigating after a man went to the hospital with shooting-related injuries Monday evening. 

Police said they responded to shots fired call around 6:30 p.m. on the 1300 block of Baker. They said that the victim and suspect were involved in a physical altercation when the suspect pulled out a firearm and shot the victim. 

After the initial call, a man, 24, went to St. Joseph Hospital with injuries from a shooting. 

The victim is in stable condition. 

Police said the suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Justin Byrd. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Police said he is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
