Beginning Aug. 1, you'll want to keep an eye out for road closures on streets that connect into Main Street.
Several of the closures will be near the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. The closures will occur to give road crews time to resurface the streets in the area. The closures will be clearly marked.
The following streets near UMHB will be closed for the rest of the week:
• W. 11th between Main and Pearl
• W. MLK Jr. Ave. between Pearl and College
• W. 8th Ave. between Main and Pearl
• College between 11th and 7th
• Warren between 8th and 7th
In South Belton, several additional streets that connect to Main Street will also be closed to accommodate boring for a new waterline. The schedule is as follows:
• W. Ave. F between Pearl and Main will be closed during the first week of August.
• W. Ave. H between Pearl and Main will be closed the week of August 7th
• W. Ave. C between Pearl and Main will be closed August 14th through the 20th.
