A woman was arrested after leading police on a chase of over 100 mph through several Central Texas counties.

Sgt D.L. Wilson said on July 29 at around 10:14 p.m., a 2002 GMC pickup in a possible domestic assault fled the scene on IH 35 near mile post 364 in Hill County.

DPS troopers along with numerous police agencies tried to stop the car driven by 38-year-old Katrina Romo Sherpa of Dallas.

Sherpa traveled at speeds over 100 mph into McLennan County on IH 35 where spikes were attempted but failed.

Sherpa then traveled into Bell County and down US 190 near Killeen.

The car turned around and finally stopped with spikes on I-35 northbound near MP 316 in Bruceville-Eddy at 11:34 p.m.

Sherpa was arrested for the felony of evading arrest and driving while intoxicated.

She was booked into the Hill County Jail.
