Family members of a Central Texas toddler who died back in April held a fundraiser all the way in Kentucky on Saturday to benefit McLane Children's Hospital.

Eighteen-month-old Riley Davis died at McLane Children's Hospital after he stopped breathing at a Copperas Cove home in April.  Justice of the Peace GW Ivey, who pronounced the 18-month old deceased, stated he believes the toddler was a victim of a homicide.

Bridget and Ernie Morris, the grandparents of Riley Davis, hosted a car show called "Cruzing for Riley" in Brandenburg, Kentucky, collecting toys, books, stuffed animals and money as donations.

"We're going to take that money and buy more stuffed animals, more story books. We're going to buy blankets socks, we're going to donate all of this to McLane Children's hospital in Temple, Texas," Ernie Morris said.

They are also buying two red wagons to donate.

Morris said 35 cars attended the event and they received a lot of donations.

"We're going to keep Riley's name alive and we're going to do everything we can to help that hospital give children a stuffed animal and help give the parents just a little hope," Morris said.

Copperas Cove police are still investigating Davis' death.
