KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) -

The Killeen Police Department said that a woman was shot and killed over a parking dispute in Killeen last Thursday morning.

At 2:49 a.m. Killeen police responded to the 1100 block of Willow Springs Road to the call of shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found 23-year-old Raven Seymone Fisher dead as the result of the shooting. She was pronounced dead on scene at 3:44 a.m.

The shooting occurred after a parking dispute between Fisher and a man. Police said Fisher confronted the man about a parking complaint while she was armed with a handgun. The man, a licensed handgun carrier, attempted to defuse the situation but was unsuccessful.

Police took the man into custody but no charges have been filed at this time.

More than half of the 17 people killed when a tourist boat sank on a Branson lake were members of the same Indiana family, and they likely wouldn't have been on the ill-fated trip but for a ticket mix-up.
