Women in quinceañera dresses walked around the Capitol passing out flowers to representatives in support of getting rid of Senate Bill 4, also known as the Sanctuary Cities bill, on Wednesday.
They also have fliers to anyone that supported the bill, including the governor, which had negative aspects of the bill written on it.
The organization that put the demonstration together is called Jolt, whose purpose is to unite young Latinas to get more involved in civil problems.
Currently, Senate Bill 4 is signed and will be in effect on September 1.
The bill is not currently on the special session agenda, but the group is hoping a demonstration like this one might change that.
