Lead Park Ranger Bradley Ellis says between Stillhouse and Lake Belton they have roughly 14 "no wake zones."

But lately, they have had a problem getting boaters to abide by the rules of those zones.

"It's just like obeying a traffic sign on the road. No wake is just a slow school zone like you would see on the highway. We want you to make sure you obey those. They are there for a reason which is the safety of boaters and the others that are out there on the lake," Ellis said.

Lake Belton Facebook page with be partnering with the Morgan's Point Fire Department and Marine 61 to put together public service announcements on lake safety.

Tonight at ten, News Channel 25's, Hunter Davis will be speaking to a long-time boater that is encouraging his fellow lake mates to pay attention.
