WACO, TX (KXXV) -

The Waco Police Department said they are investigating a fatal crash.

Officers responded to a three-vehicle crash at East Waco Dr. and Business 77 around 11:30 p.m. on July 5.

Officers found one person was killed due to the crash and another person was injured.

Police determined a GMC Yukon driven by a 31-year-old was traveling south on Business 77 at a high rate of speed. The Yukon jumped the median and struck a northbound Ford Escape which in turn caused a third vehicle, a Nissan Altima to strike the Ford Escape.

The driver of the Yukon was identified as Paul White and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Escape has serious injuries and was transported to Baylor Scott and White/Hillcrest.

The driver and a passenger in the Nissan were treated and released at the scene.

An autopsy has been ordered for White.
