3 arrested for aggravated robbery of man trying to buy narcotics

The College Station Police said they are investigating an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon that took place Wednesday evening in the 1400 block of Northpoint Lane at around 7:07 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers located the injured man and told police he had gone to that address to buy narcotics.

The victim told police he was pepper sprayed in the eyes and a rifle was used by one of the suspects but was not fired during the crime. 

The suspects also used an axe handle and a hammer style tool, striking the victim several times on the head and back.  The suspects demanded property from the victim while assaulting him.  The victim was eventually able to flee the apartment and hide in a parking garage until officers arrived.  

Once inside the residence, the male was assaulted by four individuals.

The victim was able to leave the residence and call for help. The victim was transported to the hospital with incapacitating injuries and in good condition. 

20-year-old Megumi Sui, 19-year-old Ethan Herrera and 19-year-old Ethan Khwaja were arrested. The third suspect, Guatham Chidambaram, 20, turned himself into police. 

Sui was arrested on July 11th, 2017 at 6:30 PM.  Herrera and Khwaja were arrested together on July 12th, 2017 at 7:00 PM. 

Search warrants were obtained and served on residences associated with the suspects and evidence of the crime, to include the rifle and axe handle have been recovered. 

All three subjects have been charged with Aggravated Robbery. 

Ethan Khwaja was also charged with possession of marijuana when narcotics were discovered during the search of his residence.
