Temple police said that a pregnant woman was shot in the neck and shoulder during a drive-by shooting on the Fourth of July at the 500 block of E. Nugent Ave.
Police said they responded to the call around 11:38 p.m. They said a group of people, including teenagers, were in the front yard having a get together when a gray car drove by and shot at them. The pregnant woman was shot in the shoulder and the neck while the rest of the group ran.
The suspect continued east. The woman was transported to the hospital, and we do not have an update on her condition at the time.
Temple police said they responded to another shooting on the same shortly after 9 p.m. on the 300 block of N. 12th St. The victim told police he was driving when he heard a gunshot and his rear driver side window shattered.
The victim told police that he believes the suspect fled on foot.
