The fireworks at the Fourth on the Brazos in Waco show seemed to impress Tuesday night.

That's after complaints about the show being small and having technical errors last year.

Because of those complaints, Jonathan Cook with the City of Waco Parks and Recreation Department said the city chose the company Pyrotecnico to shoot the fireworks for the Fourth on the Brazos.

He said the same company shot off fireworks at the Superbowl in Houston this year.

"They're definitely one of the top companies out there and we're here to give Waco a great fireworks show and it's going to be a grand celebration," Cook said.
One spectator passing by News Channel 25's Makenzi Henderson told her it was the best he had seen in years.

That was the hope after HEB paid $18,000 to put the fireworks show on for the event.

Cook said this was their third year down at Touchdown Alley next to McLane Stadium. The previous home was in downtown Waco at Indian Spring Park. He said they moved to offer more space.
