Harker Heights kicked off its firstindoor Flea Market and Bazaar on Sunday.

The addition to the community will be held every Sunday at the Harker Heights Event Center from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The family-friendly event includes food trucks, bounce houses, and a variety of vendors.

"We started talking about what we can do for the community as far as a fun activity center to try to get families together for some time to spend together like the old days," Event Organizer, Benny Alvarado said.

Alvarado and some others thought the best way to do that would be to start an Indoor Flea Market and Bazaar.

"There are a lot of Farmer's markets and people trying to put their products out there, but they don't have any place to do it," Alvarado said. "We added the bounce houses and everything else for the families so they can all have a good time."

The flea market also has vendors, food trucks and dance lessons.

"I think it's great. Any time that we have an opportunity for the community to come out and for our vendors and people to be able to network I think it's always a great thing and I am just happy to be a part of that," Stepp-Up-Stepper'sFounder,  Kevin Henderson said.
