SAN ANTONIO, TX (KXXV) -

The Governor of Texas has ordered flags in San Antonio to be lowered to at half-staff in honor of fallen San Antonio officer Miguel Moreno.

Officer Moreno was a nine-year veteran of law enforcement who lost his life in the line of duty following a shooting on June 29.

"We owe Officer Moreno and Officer Julio Cavazos a great debt of gratitude for their service and bravery in the face of danger," said Abbott in a press release.

The flags will be at half-staff through July 3.
